The Full Story
I was born overseas and grew up in Severn, Maryland, while my father served some of his time at Ft. Meade in the U.S. Navy. We later moved to Brooklyn, New York along with my sister and brother, where I spent a vast amount of my life and learned a lot of important lessons about challenges that life places on the lower class. I also became a mom while living in New York to a beautiful young lady. Worked nearly 10 years in a Substance Abuse Outpatient Program where I worked alongside some amazing people and gained a lot of my customer service talents. I also worked in the fast-food industry for over 4 years and later worked retail for a year.
Not long after my daughter was born, we relocated to Florida, where I soon sought to enlist in the U.S. Air Force and currently serve as a Sergeant. I also found a job working in retail for nearly 3 years as I began my time as a Reservist. I have met so many amazing people along the way, traveled and explored places that I never thought I would ever get to see and trained to maintain duty and honor to my family, peers and country.
My daughter who recently passed away, September of 2024, due to suicide from mental health challenges she faced, remains my most inspiring centerpiece of my every day. Her memory will always be at the forefront on why we stand on what we work to accomplish every day. Her belief in maintaining positive communication, transparency, support for those that are in need will be the WHY we do what we do.
